WOW, have we made a great move! (BTW ~ no one @ Keller Williams knows that we 're writing this). Initially our decision to associate our Brand with the Keller Williams Brand & specifically Keller Williams Elite was a prudent positive "business" move and to date they're proving to be a great move.
But yesterday we experienced a "Personal or Human" side to Keller Williams that blew us away.
Evidently each year on the 2nd Thursday in May, Keller Williams has an international "RED" DAY (Renew, Energize and Donate) where they close their offices for the day and "give back" to their communities by devoting their time and money to renewing and energizing aspects of their respective neighbourhoods. Our Maple Ridge office volunteered the day to weeding, gardening, power washing, painting, replanting, & laying new bark mulch at Baillie House, a Residential Care Facility in Maple Ridge. There we all were for the better part of the day out there in our bright red Keller Williams shirts weeding, washing, replanting, painting, etc. Our counterparts in Port Coquitlam were doing likewise and more at Hawthorne House. It was a lot of work but a priceless amount happiness. Residents & Staff Members were coming up to us as we were packing up and thanking us profusely. And then it was off to Samz Pub (next to the Ramada Inn) in Pitt Meadows where we all celebrated what an incredible day it was while we nursed our sore muscles & aching backs.
Jane & I applaud Keller Williams Elite for their Community involvement and want to personally send A HUGE THANK YOU to EVERETT CROWDIS, our very good friend for giving his day and time (and muscles & back) working right there beside everyone, PATTI CROWDIS for being an Angel and bringing everyone coffee, and MICHELLE PURCELL, an incredible lady (she's going to kill me) of SEW BIZ (604-462-9336 & www.mysewbiz.com) for her excellent custom embroidering she did for us. These people are "stars"!!! WE THANK YOU!
